Wordpress permalink edits on godaddy

Today I ve installed my blog here on a godaddy Hosting-Account and when I tried to set up the permlink structure of the wordpress Blog changes within the .htaccess file didnt affect anything. I tried 1 hour different combinations and nothing seemed to happen.
Finally I found some advices that I just have to wait a few minutes after a change and then it should work. And voila: it worked. So that means changes to the .htaccess document are not processed immediatley, but after a while (maybe 5 to 10 minutes).
I custmized permalink with /postname%/ and waited over 15 minutes, but it still didn’t work. Can you share with me specifically to be able to make permalinks work on name of your blogs?

I was having the same problem. Now it works fine.
I am a new customer of godaddy.com and just installed the latest wordpress. It seems I’ve got the same problem regarding this permalink. So, do I need just to wait? did you do any thing?
I’ve had this same problem and found an even quicker solution than just waiting, and this has actually worked for me every time.
I just set my permalinks from the custom/pretty, back to the default (ugly), and then BACK to the pretty/custom mode again, and it’s fixed!
